Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Our curriculum is designed to achieve the following learning objectives:
- Develop a strong foundation in language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.
- Foster social, emotional, and physical development.
- Build confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
- Prepare students for a smooth transition to Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7)

Our experienced and qualified teachers use a variety of teaching methods and resources to deliver our curriculum, including:
- Play-based learning
- Hands-on activities
- Storytelling and role-play
- Music, movement, and drama
- Technology integration

We continually assess our early learners’ progress through observation, feedback, and regular parent-teacher conferences.

We believe that parental involvement is crucial to our students' success. We promote parents participating in our curriculum through:
- Regular updates and newsletters
- Parent-teacher conferences
- Volunteer opportunities in the classroom
- Special events and workshops.

Our Early Years program is intentionally stretched into four class groups; three of which are centered on the Early Years curriculum proper and one preparing early learners for a smooth transition into Key Stage 1 class and curriculum -
Daycare (3 to 24 months) - this class group focuses on our Yellow Ducklings (3 - 18 months) and our Nesters (18 - 24 months).
Pre-nursery (2 to 3 years) - this class group centers on our White Swans.
Nursery (3 to 4 years) - this class group is focused on our Red Robins.
Reception (4 to 5 years) - this class group is focused on our Bluebirds.
