At Broadoaks British School, we believe every child should have the opportunity to participate in activities that develop new skills and nurture their passions and interests. Our substantial co-curricular programme offers an extensive range of after-school activities and clubs that appeal to a wide range of pupils.
Overview of After-School Programmes
The after-school section of our schools comprises two units; the Co-curricular activities (clubs) which run from Monday through Thursday, and the Extended care programme which runs from Monday through Friday weekly.
Co-curricular Activities (After-school Clubs): The programme offers a range of activities across the various clubs of Indoor games, Arts, STEM, ICT, Gymnastics, Sports, and Dance, tailored to different age groups and interests. Our experienced specialty staff heading each club provides professional guidance to our pupils to the point of improvement and mastery in the activities of the clubs. By participating in our after-school clubs, pupils can build confidence, develop new skills, explore new experiences, make new friends, enhance their creativity and critical thinking levels.
Extended Care Programme: This section is decorated to keep your loved wards in a far home away from home. It is usually accessed by parents who work long hours or work late, who prefer the secured school environment care to some external sitter(s) for safety and proper supervision purposes.
For our Early Years school (TTDN), extended care participants engage in fun activities like; painting, colouring, handcraft, and collage making; building on their prewriting skills and developing the students’ fine motor and gross motor skills. We also enjoy fun arranged activities such as; feet racing, car racing, sensory play in the sand house, gardening exploration, and lots more.
For our Primary and Secondary schools, the extended care pupils engage in the exploration of nature, art expression, academic intervention sessions, guided sessions, and board games like Scrabble and many more.
