Pupil Leadership
The pupil leadership body of Broadoaks British School Primary constitutes the voice that stands in the stead of the primary school community, the body is made up of the BBS Primary Prefects and the BBS Primary School Council Representatives. These pupils embody the school's values, standing in the gap for the primary school pupils to be heard and inspiring their peers to reach new heights. Through their leadership, they shape the ultimate school experience while creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
BBS Primary Prefects
Several roles that are fundamental to the daily functioning of the school are open to Year 6. Primarily; they are appointed because they are good role models and contribute positively to school life. Pupils in Year 5 apply to be prefects, and after a careful selection process, prefects are announced for the next academic year (Year 6).
Prefects have a number of responsibilities throughout the week and at key events throughout the year. They are extensively responsible for maintaining discipline and order, leading by example, acting as liaisons between pupils, teachers, and administration, and upholding the school's values, mission, and traditions.
BBS Primary School Council Representatives
The school council is made up of representatives from each of the Primary classes. Each school council rep is elected by their classmates each term to serve as their voice and advocate. They are responsible for gathering ideas, concerns, and suggestions from their peers and presenting them to the school council at school council meetings.
Together; the pupil leadership body supports the school through various initiatives and provides important feedback from the pupils. Pupils are also supported in this capacity to develop their leadership and communication skills.
