Pupil Leadership
The pupil leadership body of Broadoaks British School Secondary constitutes the voice that stands in the stead of the secondary school community, the body is made up of the BBS Secondary Ambassadors and the BBS Secondary School Council Representatives. These pupils embody the school's values, standing in the gap for the secondary pupils to be heard and inspiring their peers to reach new heights. Through their leadership, they shape the ultimate school experience while creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
BBS Secondary Ambassadors
Whilst the secondary school is growing and will be working towards developing a prefect body over time, the school has introduced Secondary School Ambassadors. Ambassadors are selected from the uppermost two-year groups (for this academic year - Year 8 and Year 9). These ambassadors represent their school at various events, such as Open Days and school community functions, they also provide guidance and support to their fellow pupils; particularly new or struggling pupils. The secondary ambassadors work closely with teachers and staff to achieve common goals for the betterment of the pupil's life, they also embody the school's values in their best capacity.
Pupils may apply to be school ambassadors and are then selected because they are good role models and contribute positively to school life.
BBS Secondary Student Council Representatives
The school council is made up of representatives from each of the Secondary classes. Each school council rep is elected by their classmates each term to serve as their voice and advocate. They are responsible for gathering ideas, concerns, and suggestions from their peers and presenting them to the school council at school council meetings.
Together the pupil leadership body supports the school through various initiatives and provides important feedback from the pupils. Pupils are also supported in this capacity to develop their leadership and communication skills.
