Sports at BBS

At Broadoaks British School, we recognize the significance of sports in promoting physical and mental well-being, teamwork, and character development. Our comprehensive Physical Education (P.E.) program is designed to provide students with a wide range of opportunities to engage in various sports activities, develop new skills, and excel in competitions.
Our sports curriculum is carefully crafted to ensure a balanced sports education approach, incorporating theoretical and practical aspects. During P.E. lessons, every child is engaged as we focus our sessions on practical activities to develop fitness, endurance, and physical skills in our pupils. Our pupils partake in varying sporting activities, building an effectively competitive environment with sportsmanship at the centre; some of the sports activities include:

Annual Sports Festival: A Whole School Celebration of Sportsmanship and House Teamwork
Our annual Sports Festival - TTDN & BBS SPORTS DAY is a highlight of the school calendar, bringing together students, parents, and staff in a celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork in a healthy competition of the game houses - Ruby house, Topaz house, Emerald house, and Sapphire house. The Sports Day taking place on a professional 400m track and field features a range of sports competitions, from basic motor activities such as Egg in Spoon and Pom-Pom games for our youngest pupils (Teenee Todds) to more advanced events like Sack races, Long distance relays for our older pupils (Primary & Secondary). The track and field competition showcases the talents of our pupils and provides an opportunity for our community to come together and cheer on our young athletes.
